Your trade promotion data is sensitive.
We treat it that way.
Eight out of ten trade promotion analytics platforms ingest your data into their AI environment. Alakai works differently: we act as your CPG company’s data layer, not the AI layer.
This means your data is processed and returned to your own AI environment. We never train on your data, store it in our models, or co-mingle it with any other manufacturer’s data.
Alakai’s data security architecture
Every part of Alakai’s platform (storage, compute, data processing, etc.) runs inside Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure. Because everything operates within a single AWS cloud platform, the security posture of your data within Alakai is consistent with the standards AWS holds itself to. This means:
- No third-party tools
- No underlying external services
- TLS 1.3 Encryption in transit and at rest
- Data never traverses public networks
When your organization is ready to connect your data environment to ours, we support two paths:
Private network connections
Alakai defaults to TLS 1.3 for all data in transit. For organizations that require it, we also support VPC connectivity: a direct, private connection that keeps your data off the public internet entirely.
All platform updates and enhancements are deployed automatically and included at no additional cost.
Data sharing within your cloud environment
For organizations that require data to remain entirely within their own cloud environment, Alakai offers a single-tenant deployment option.
This comes with significantly longer implementation timelines and higher costs. Additionally, any platform updates that would otherwise be automatic require separate deployment at additional cost.

Data residency | All data processing occurs within AWS infrastructure. No data is stored or processed outside of the cloud environments approved by your company. |
Multi-tenancy | Every customer’s data environment is fully isolated. No data is co-mingled across manufacturers or accounts. |
AI model training | Alakai does not train AI models on our clients’ data. Your data is processed and returned to your environment: it never becomes part of any Alakai model. |
SOC 2 compliance | Our SOC 2 Type II certification is currently in progress. Supporting documentation available upon request. |
